Fall is one of my favorite times of the year for so many reasons. Sweater weather, hot apple cider and the excitement that leads up to Halloween and the holiday season. Since I’m almost always hosting guests at this time of year, I felt like my plates and dishes needed a refresh. With years of wear and tear many of my plates are chipped and need replacing, so I headed off to my local Walmart to see what they had available.
I was pleased to find so many options available and I honestly was just going to get a boxed set and be done with it. When I saw all the patterns and choices to mix and match with, I ended up choosing something fun and different. There was the new Pioneer Woman collection that caught my eye, but I wasn’t sure it was totally me, so I opted for the geometric patterned salad place in combination with the larger red dinner plate.
Since this is for a guest table setting, I thought it wouldn’t be complete without linen napkins and napkin rings. It’s possibly the most inexpensive way to really fancify your table and add a touch of class. Not to mention the eco-friendly thing to do as well!
Next, I ventured over to the table linens section to choose either a table cloth, table runner or place settings. My kitchen table is not large, so I thought the best option for us would have been either a table runner OR place settings. I ended up selecting these gold blossom vinyl place mats
All the items I selected were available in-store and were very inexpensive. I even got some new highball glasses, but I couldn’t find the corresponding product on the website to share with you. Here’s the items I got:
- Gold Placemat
- Red Dinner Plates
- Mainstays linen napkin (2 pack)
- Mainstays napkin rings
- Better homes and Gardens geometric salad plate
I couldn’t believe I was able to get a whole new table setting for under $50! Be sure to check out Walmart for your holiday decorating!
