On any given week I try to set aside one day for big house chores. You know, the kitchen mopping, toilet brushing kind that involve a little more elbow grease than your average clean-up. My home is only 1600 sq feet, so it’s pretty easy for it to get messed up – especially when you have 2 kids & a dog!
I can think of plenty of things I like better to do than cleaning, so these are some of the things I do to maximize the cleaning in as little possible time. Recently, I got to try Lemi-Shine cleaning products and I’m in love! If you love lemon-scented, you will LOVE this stuff!
I always start with a load of laundry because it takes 1 hour to wash one cycle on normal. The washing machine runs while I attend to other chores like wiping the counter tops down with Lemi-Shine spray cleaner. The pic above is the Lemi-Shine dishwasher tabs – just drop one in and let it do its job.
This stuff really helps me check alot of the tasks off my deep cleaning checklist! Follow this list as a quideline when cleaning your kitchen – I bet ya there’s some things on there that you didn’t think of!
Sometimes if I feel like going the extra mile when I’m cleaning the kitchen, I’ll try cleaning the dishwasher before using it. The pre-packaged cleaning product easily and effectively cleans while still being gentle on the environment. While that’s working, I will hand wash any remaining bottles and nipples with Lemi-Shine dish soap and then run the Lemi-Shine garbage disposal tabs to freshen up the sink.
Lemi-shine spray is great to moisten a soft towel and dust with. Dirt and dust will easily cling to it’s surface and leave behind a fresh scent. I even use the spray cleaner to help get rid of streaks on the floor that get revealed by the sun shining on it.
If you’ve never heard of Lemi-Shine before, check out the Lemi-Shine store locator here and see if there’s a store near you that carries their stuff. If they do carry it, then here’s a Lemi-Shine coupon just for you!
