Having both a purse AND a diaper bag got old quickly. Granted, you need alot of things when you travel with a baby, but it’s not really necessary to pack a full-on diaper bag to go to the grocery store for an hour. So I consolidated!
I took the most important elements of my things and all the important elements from the diaper bag and put them together for the ultimate bag ‘o tricks. Chewing gum, particularly the new Extra® 35-stick pack (click to save $1.00 on the new 35-stick pack of Extra®) is one of my can’t-live-withouts because when I’m not chewing gum, I’m drinking coffee. Drinking lots of coffee like me = coffee breath, so I need something to keep that at bay!
I really love the new recyclable plastic containers the new Extra® 35-stick pack came in. I spotted them at CVS last week at the checkout counter.
Packing the right things comes with some forethought because you’re basically needing to make predictions as to what ‘might’ happen while out with the baby. Will there be a diaper blowout? bored kid? hungry? If I don’t plan to be out long, all I take is a prepared bottle with diapers & wipes. For an extended day, I’ll take everything – which takes up my entire purse!
- 2 pre-filled bottles
- Baby food, formula & snacks
- Baby bowl & spoon
- 6 diapers
- Wipes
- Toys
- Shoes
- Headband
So yeah.. when you add all of that…
With all of this – you have quite abit to keep up with, and that’s not counting what the husband is asking me to hold in my purse for him!
- Erin Condren Life Planner
- The new Extra® 35-stick pack (for fresh breath)
- Pens
- Telephone
- Wallet
- Tissues
- Water
- Sunglasses
- My son’s nintendo 3DS
With this much stuff in my bag, I’m pretty much ready for any type of parental disaster!
Brings me to one question for you.. What is your most prized item in your purse/diaper bag?

I have to say, I do not miss the diaper bag days! I am finally over them and it feels good to just have my wristlet back! #client
