When you’re a mom to multiple children, and you venture outside your house for any length of time you have to be prepared for anything. I’ve had every mom fail happen from pee/poop/vomit disasters to forgetting a simple but necessary item like baby wipes. After many trials, I’ve learned what works best for me and I try to keep it simple with hitting all the essentials – like diapers, wipes, snacks and a few other ‘little’ items..
1. Diaper Changing Kit
Its simplest to just group all the needed items in one little pouch making it easy to reach for when you’re wrangling your little one off to the bathroom for a change. I take 3 diapers, wipes & a muslin blanket to use as a pad and I keep all my stuff in a cute little cosmetic bag.
2. Snacks & bottles
If you’re a bottle feeding mama like myself, clean bottles, water & formula are pretty important. Rice crackers, granola bars and raisins also make great snacking for toddlers and kids. Can’t forget myself though because I’m no good to anyone if I’m hungry and low on energy. I beat that by throwing in a Cbobani Flip yogurt snack that’s packed with plenty of nutrition. My personal favorites are the Almond Coco Loco and Key Lime Crumble. There’s also Coffee Break Bliss – low-fat yogurt with biscotti pieces and chocolate and I’m dying to try it!
I love Chobani yogurt because of its creamy texture, and then couple that with the crunchy ‘flip’ part, and it becomes a decadent & satisfying treat. Strawberry Summer Crisp is another winner- low-fat yogurt paired with golden graham crackers and white chocolate.
If you haven’t tried Chobani yogurt yet, now is a great time because they are releasing 15 new product varieties. There is something for every kind of yogurt eater! It’s also a huge bonus that each and every cup of Chobani Greek Yogurt is made with fresh milk from cows not treated with rBST and proudly contains no artificial sweeteners, preservatives or flavors.
3. My purse kit
This was given to my by JP as a mother’s day gift a couple of years ago, and its one of the most useful things I own. I keep everything like dental floss, aspirin, band-aids, breath mints, extra hair elastics, chap stick, hair brush & a sharpie.
Once I have these main elements in my bag and some Chobani Flip yogurt in my tummy, I feel like I can handle anything!
