Enfamil® Reguline™ was kind enough to send me samples of their baby formula. Melody has been a formula baby since birth and I was delighted to try out this special version. All opinions in this post are 100% mine.
Six years ago, having an infant to care for was new territory for me and I was probably the worst momma bear out there. Everything had to be just right, bottles carefully sterilized, feeding schedules enforced and recorded every wet and dirty diaper he created.
I feel kind of guilty, but I can’t say I’m the same way about #2.
In retrospect I realize now that I created most of my own stress, but the important part is that I learned to deal with it better for the 2nd time around. I remember the first time that JP went a couple of days without a dirty diaper, and I was so anxious about it that I practically had the pediatrician’s after hours number on speed dial.
No need for that kind of drama this time around – Instead I’ll be handling little hiccups like these at home.
With #2 we’ve reached a new baby milestone – Melody has now started the first solids! Good ‘ol Rice cereal with apples and she’s loving it! Mmm mm
But the change in diet isn’t really loving her. After a very trying day last week, I realized that she was having occasional constipation by the crying. Oh the miserable crying.
And we can’t forget those high-pitched shrieks. The kind that hurts your ears.
So to ease her fussiness, I decided that I would involve the help of Enfamil® Reguline™ to help keep things running smooth for awhile <— ha ha, no pun! So far, its been pretty helpful! Enfamil® Reguline™ is an infant formula designed to promote comfortable stools. I can only imagine how tough it can be to be a baby with occasional constipation, not to mention having to take care of your business by laying on your back or sitting. No wonder she cried like that!
Giving my little girl’s usual formula a switch for some Enfamil® Reguline™ was a gentle way to shake things up a little. The prebiotics found in Enfamil® Reguline™ are a type of carbohydrate also found in breastmilk that help feed the good bacteria in the digestive system. What’s even better is that you can continuously feed baby Enfamil® Reguline™ for the entire year because it offers complete nutrition.
Comes in both powder form and the convenient pre-made liquid. I love those for throwing in my purse when we’re on-the-go!
I sometimes worry about switching formulas abruptly, but it appears that she had no problem adjusting. My guess is that it tastes the same as the one she was used to!
