I can’t believe back to school is finally here! Are you excited? Myself personally, I’m on the fence about it.. Part of me wants to do the happy dance so we can get on a “normal” routine again, but part of me slightly dreads getting kids up and ready early in the morning. Either way, it’s happening and there’s little I can do to stop it, so I might as well just roll with it and get in on the back to school action.
I was really excited to find out that we could do all our shopping (including the new eyewear JP needs) all under one roof at JCPenney and JCPenney Optical. Turns out they’re also having an eyewear photo contest and giving away prizes for a chance to win eye-catching prizes just in time for a new school year. Find out more details by visiting the JCPenney Optical website.
JP got the kid’s converse frames and we’ll be getting the actual lenses put in next week. He said he’s going to take some getting used to these – I can’t believe how adorable my boy looks with glasses!
Now, the other child was a different story! She absolutely thought they were made for her and we even used them as a prop for a cheeky back-to-school photoshoot. These photos were just for fun as these frames are not recommended for toddlers.
The JCPenney Optical kids glasses begin at $39.99 a pair and the sale includes a large selection of frames and impact-resistant lenses.
Not to be forgotten, but mama’s needs some eyewear too.. I got some simple black frames and they are perfect!
Get great designer eyewear brands like Ray Ban, Nicole by Nicole Miller, Armani Exchange, Puma, DKNY, Liz Claiborne and Callaway to name a few. Don’t forget to enter into their photo contest and win some great swag! Find out the details here.
So what’s on that back to school list of mine? I usuall pre-buy all the kids school supplies through the school as they buy everything in bulk. So here’s what is on my list
- JCPenney Optical for back to school eyewear
- Erin Condren life planner (so I can keep up with school events)
- Lunch containers from Goodbyn
- No first day is complete without a back to school photo prop sign to pose your child with
- School’s back in session so there’s less time for ipad videos and games. We use this app to set limits
