I’m so excited that that Thanksgiving is nearly here! With that of course comes all the fancy make-once-a-year type of recipes that I can’t wait to cook up. Each year we head to my in-laws for the mouthwatering spread of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy and good ‘ol football and family time. Since the main courses are already in place, I usually enjoy bringing some type of dessert or appetizer. This year, I’ll be bringing along my pepperoni pizza bites along with a daily dose of Nexium® 24HR 42ct Tablets to not let heartburn ruin our holiday feast. Nexium is one of those drugs that takes about 1-4 days to take effect, so it’s best to start this in advance (about 1-4 days).
The one bad thing about food that is fatty, fried and delicious is that awful heartburn that comes along with it. I sometimes struggle with occasional heartburn, but it’s my husband who’s the one who really struggles. I’ve talked about his health condition before, and frequent heartburn is one of many gastric issues he faces. Nexium® 24HR 42ct Tablets is what we buy to help keep the heartburn at bay.
Since heartburn medication is something we constantly buy, I’m always on the lookout for a good deal. Right now Walgreens is having a sale that you can’t refuse – a special price in-store of Two Nexium 24HR (28 ct.) for $40.00 or a $2 off coupon on one. This will be good November 1 – 30, 2016.
Now about that pepperoni bites recipe…
It’s really easy and only takes a few ingredients. Here’s what I used:
- 1 package of won-ton wrappers
- pizza sauce
- mini pepperoni
- string cheese
Assembling it was the fun part! I folded in 2 corners, placed a pepperoni pieces and topped it with pizza sauce. Resist the temptation to over stuff it, or you will have a hard time getting it to stay together.
Brush a little water on the edges of the wrapper before you roll it up and it will act as the glue that keeps it together. Heat a pan of vegetable oil on medium and let them brown and crisp up. Be sure to turn them frequently with tongs so they don’t burn on one side!
Drain on a paper towel and enjoy.. Don’t let heartburn ruin your holiday eating!
May take 1 to 4 days for full effect. Use as directed.
