I am still reeling from the realization that Melody just turned 1 this week! With that comes the memory of the whole birthing experience – particularly the postpartum months which have been so very unkind. I am still struggling with the extra flab on my belly that won’t go away. I try to keep my diet light, but sometimes a craving strikes for something good and tasty without the extra calories. My favorite quick go-to meal for this is Sweet n Sour Chicken made by Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers.
There’s nothing more real than trying on clothing and shoes two weeks after having a baby. No, I didn’t have to continue wearing my maternity jeans, but I did have to dust off my old large sized jeans since that’s all I could wiggle into postpartum. They hadn’t fit me in a long time – atleast I was now getting some use out of a pair of good jeans!
Regardless of making good use of out barely-worn clothing, I look at wearing my larger sized clothing as kind of a temporary solution. I’m not in any race to get smaller, but it never hurts to watch what you eat in effort to be healthy. After my first pregnancy it took me over a year to reach my pre-pregnancy size and I don’t expect it to be any different with #2. Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers are a great solution for me since I’m not very good at meal planing – it really helps simplify!
There are many delicious frozen entrees from meatball marinara, grilled chicken with broccoli alfredo and chicken fried rice to name a few. Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers is not your regular frozen entree. You’ll notice when you open the box that it has a unique tray-in-tray steam cooking method that delivers fresh-tasting meals with crisp vegetables and juicy proteins. Best of all, this unique cooking method allows the food to retain it’s nutrients delivering a healthy and delicious meal straight from your microwave. I’m not normally a fan of using the microwave to cook anything, however I was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out!
Healthy Choice can proudly say that they are the only major brand that can call 100% of their products “healthy” as they are approved by the FDA. See where you can find Healthy Choice at a retailer near you by looking up your zip code.
