Call me old fashioned, but I believe there’s something to be said for unplugged activities.. Playing for an hour or 2 with family members brings back some of the lost connection that comes with the extensive use of technology. We needed to add a new title to the collection since my sister was coming to visit for Melody’s birthday and we never played the Game of Life game before. I thought it would be fun to make a family night of it, complete with M&M’s® candy.
The Game of Life game mimics all the possible life events that happen to an individual over a lifetime, and whoever gets to retire with the most money wins. Sounds about right to me! Of course, a night like this would not be complete without some M&M’s® snacks – I couldn’t resist when I saw big bags of them sitting on an endcap at Walmart. I decided on M&M’s® Peanut variety and M&M’s® Milk Chocolate.
That evening once the excitement from the party died down, we played. With career choices such as a racecar driver and secret agent it was right up JP’s alley.
Colored money… Reminds me of my long forgotten Canadian money!
However, it kinda went south when he realized he was losing… Builds character!
Fun as this game may be, it comes with 1000 little pieces! Losing them drives me batty, so I made a cute little pouch to store it in. Download the printable here!
I made it super easy to put together – print, cut and tape!
Happy crafting! I made a few of these to accommodate all the cards and plastic goodies. So what’s your favorite snack to enjoy? Get some good ideas by visiting here!
