I’m counting down about 3 weeks until the back-to-school routine comes back into play. Is it bad to say that I’m looking forward to it?? Over the next few days, I’ve been carefully preparing for the change in routine that comes with the new school year. Some of it is clothing, backpacks, lunch boxes & school supplies but most importantly I’ve been gathering items like Mott’s® Applesauce for packing a nutritious and delicious lunch.
A few times I’ve had JP eat the school cafeteria food when I’ve been short on time to make a lunch. It was convenient at first, but soon after JP began to express his dislike for the school’s food and told me he liked my home made lunches better. Since that happened, I’ve been making him healthy lunches with good things like Mott’s® Applesauce included.
Now that I have 2 kids and a crazy life, there’s never a dull moment around our house. That being said, I can use all the help I can get when it comes to taking care of my little monsters. Pre packaged food can be a god-send for making lunches easy to put together in the morning, which is one of the reasons why I enjoy lunch items like Mott’s® Applesauce.
I noticed that my local Dollar General had these on sale on the Back to School display, along with a bottle of Mott’s® apple juice on sale to boot, so I got some of each for my lunch food stash. From July 26th through August 23rd, Dollar General will have these on sale priced at $2 for the juice and $2.25 for the applesauce.
Not only are these working out well for my 6 year old, but Applesauce works nicely as baby food. 2 birds, one stone, Booyah! Learn how to make some cool recipes with Mott’s® applesauce.
