One of the best things about being a mama to a boy and a girl is getting to explore the different sides of it when it comes to planning a party. With boys, you enjoy things like cars, boats, legos, ninjas, etc – and boys are always so easy to please.. With a girl in the house now, I’m excited to begin enjoying the girly side of throwing parties! Now it’s all about princesses, faeries, rainbows and unicorns. In this case, I’m looking at you Elsa.
From the moment I found out I was carrying a girl, I knew it would only be a matter of time before I’d have some Disney FROZEN stuff laying around the house. When JP was just a baby, Disney Cars was still the “it” thing and Lightning McQueen had been a permanent fixture for much of his toddler life. It won’t be long until Melody turns 1 and we will kiss infancy goodbye and say hello to being a toddler. Since its never too early to start planning, I’m thinking her 1st birthday will have a Disney FROZEN theme.
This royal little party will likely be a small gathering of family and friends, so I’ve been picking up things here and there when I find them so it doesn’t cost me much when the time finally arrives. Last time I was at Walmart, I found some great deals on FROZEN themed party supplies and I snapped up a few things…
Some of the things I’m tucking away are plates, cups, napkins and some table decorations. I’ve still got a good amount of time to prepare, but it’s never too early to begin!
Try visiting your Walmart’s party section next time you have a child’s party to plan because American Greetings has many themes to choose from. For under 50$ you can have it all from plates to goody bags for all your guests.
