In this generation, our kids have been growing up on our phones and hard drives. I’m right there for every special moment with my phone documenting every milestone in my kids lives. I honestly don’t know what I would do without my phone and my unlimited talk text and web!!
Recently, one of the most special milestones for our family was captured with my very own smartphone. This is a moment in time that I will never get back, and I’m so thrilled that I was able to get it, even though I was half dazed from medications. This is JP meeting his baby sister minutes after my c-section delivery.
Looking back, it was such a blur and I don’t even recall taking the photo, which is why I’m so happy that I was able to capture this special moment! The following 2 days in the hospital were no different – lots of status updates, pictures, phone calls, texts, etc..
Since I delivered via c-section, I didn’t get to hold Melody right away. Once I was back in the recovery area, my husband was able to pass her over to me for a little while. I couldn’t resist, and I had to take a picture of my baby girl!
The next day was no different – infact it was much more intense in terms of picture taking!
The hospital stay was fun while it lasted.. It was so nice to have a nurse to care for my baby, order my meals off a menu, eat in bed and watch bravo tv all day!
Finally it came to an end, and it was time to go home. JP was so thrilled that he was able to finally have his sister come home that he was beaming with excitement. I got this last picture in the pharmacy parking lot while we waited on my husband to fill my prescriptions. Then as soon as we got home, JP insisted on feeding Melody a bottle and I obliged – I knew that I needed all the help I could get!
