Now that baby girl has finally made her appearance, I’m going to need some help getting the house in shape. That being said, I’m going to need a little bit of help achieving some goals around the house. Since we’ll be expecting plenty of visitors in the next month or so, I really wanted to transition our bathroom from a kid’s bathroom to a more inviting, grown up space for guests. Our guest bathroom is very small, so transforming it shouldn’t take a whole lot of effort, however there’s no way that I’m going to be laying tiles after having a baby. So why do it yourself when you can have a fast, professional job done for you? Here’s what I’m working with…

I consulted with my local Carpet On retailer for some advice on changing out our vinyl floors with some brand new tiles. I knew better than to tackle this project by myself by watching my in-laws experience with tile installation. The easy part is ripping out the vinyl – then unless you know exactly where to begin, that’s where problems can occur. Sometimes it’s worth NOT doing it yourself, or #DDIY *Don’t do it yourself”. See how some #DDIY projects can easily go south by viewing some of the hilarious videos put together by Carpet One.

I really wanted to take a modern approach, something that would exude elegance and I think I found it with this tile.

I love the grey/white blend and also the timeless linear pattern that won’t be outdated anytime soon. It’s on the pricey side, but my bathroom is no more than 35 sq feet and a fixed up bathroom adds tremendous re-sale value to your home.

So here’s my plan…
