This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Better Sleep Council. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and think, “wow my neck/shoulder/back/knee/etc. is killing me…”  In my world, Some of the blame is equal parts JP, Kevin and Cookie, however most of the blame is directed at our current mattress situation. I’d definitely love to replace it soon because my back should not sound like an old attic floor when I stretch in the morning. It used to be a wonderful mattress to lay upon, but somewhere along the way 2 large body grooves began to form on either side of the bed and now both me and Kevin feel like we are sleeping in a ditch. Add JP (he still visits in the middle of the night) and Cookie (who thinks she owns the bed) and it’s one big happy family.

I wish I would have had the foresight to understand why my bed would need a water-resistant cover. Apparently we sweat out a lot of water in our sleep – and it gets absorbed by the mattress. Between the need to de-funk a 5 year old sweaty mattress and the occasional bed-wetting courtesy of my child, I think I might be out shopping for a new mattress this memorial day when are the sales are in full bloom. Do you have plans?

We moved into our home about 5 years ago, and that’s when we decided to upgrade our bed’s size from a queen size to a cali king. JP got his own bed, upgraded from the toddler bed that he was previously sleeping in. It was important to make sure that the mattress rested upon a flat platform so it can keep its shape.

Choosing one can be so hard, but it can help a lot if both you and your partner are on the same page when mattress shopping. There’s a lot of guides on how to buy a mattress, but none will be as valuable as this piece of information… Wear comfy pajama type of clothing when out shopping for a mattress and consult a guide for how to get better sleep.

A new mattress would help me sleep much better. I wake up a lot during the night.

I have scoliosis which causes a lot of back pain daily in my lower back as well as the middle/center where your spine is and also between my shoulders where your neck meets your back – it’s awful. This is why I rarely sleep on my back. I am always forced to sleep on my side or my stomach because my mattress is just not cushioned enough for my back – it’s painful and uncomfortable. I really do need a new mattress, one that is very soft and has a lot of cushion.

My mattress is pretty old – at least 10 years and definitely leaves a lot to be desired. On one side I can actually feel the springs in my back so a new mattress would definitely aid with better sleep and overall better health.

My mattress is a little bit old and not as cushioned as I would like it to be, it causes me discomfort when I sleep and sometimes I wake up sore. Choosing a new mattress with the right cushion would provide my body the support needed and it would help me sleep better.

My mattress is very lumpy and uneven and not very comfortable. I get up usually at least once during the night and I think a newer, better mattress would result in an overall better sleep experience.

What a cute little fellow…I sure miss when my son was that young. But I digress.

My mattress is very old and very hard with a dip in the middle despite regular flipping. Thanks to Lupus, Fibro, joint issues, etc. it is impossible for me to get comfy enough to go to sleep. I use a lot of pillows to try and prop myself, but I think a new foam or gel top mattress is the only answer to being able to get some sleep!

Oh I would love a new mattress! My mattress is older and the springs are coming thru in spots. I have a pad on top that does help, but I have such back pains in the morning. I feel like I never get a good night sleep. A new mattress would be a blessing!

A new mattress would be a gift from heaven! My bed is so lumpy. Trying to find a comfy spot and not roll over on a dog keeps me awake every night.

My husband gets up numerous times every night (and wakes me up often doing so) and constantly complains about needing a new mattress because it’s not cushioned enough and very uneven. Our mattress is easily over 15 years old and a new mattress would let him (and me) get a better sleep!

A new mattress would ensure a good night sleep because my back wouldn’t hurt as much and I like sleeping on one side and sometimes have to switch due to pain caused by my mattress
