If you ever wanted to have quick, flaky pastries in under 20 minutes – here’s how! This has got to be the simplest of baking ideas I’ve ever had, and boy is it amazing. I came across these little Milky Way® bites the last time I was shopping at Walmart, so I bought them thinking they would make a nice ‘I love you’ treat in JP’s lunch.
I’ve been craving a good flaky pastry for a while now, so I thought I’d use my frozen pasty cups and fill them with the Milky Way® bites and bake to see how it turned out. On my first try, I baked each bite on top of the frozen dough as shown above.. If you decide to do this, be sure to bake the cups almost completely before you pop the bites in each one or they will turn out like these. Not everything I make actually turns out right!
So I decided to give it another shot, and this time bake the dough until it was almost done, and then pressed the Milky Way® bites into each shell and continue baking for another few minutes. This way turned out wayyy better!
Here’s a coupon to get $.75 off any 2 bags of Milky Way® Bites (6oz or larger) in the candy section at Walmart. They even have other varieties too if Milky Way® isn’t your favorite. They are just the right size for adding a little something extra to your desserts! Join the #EatMoreBites Twitter Party on Friday, March 14, from 1:00-2:00 PM EST for a chance to win $550 in Walmart Gift Cards!
