Remember about a month ago I mentioned that I was trying out a new cheap wireless plan from Walmart Family Mobile? I must say, after trying this service for the past month – I can’t tell a difference from my other carrier which is currently Verizon.
Way back when we were moving into our home, I discovered that we were pre-wired for Verizon which is why we decided to go along with that company to begin with. We signed a 2 year deal because we thought bundling our wireless with our TV & internet would be convenient and save a few dollars in the process. I’m really happy with all my services that I’m subscribed to at the moment – both my Verizon bundle AND my Walmart Family Mobile account…
…But the reality is that it would be cheaper to pay our mobile devices separately, rather than bundle it together as I have been doing with my current plan.
This is by far the best cheap wireless plan out there!
So for us, it just makes sense to go this route – there’s no reason why we should pay extra money when you don’t need to! Their slogan is true by every word “Unbeatable Value for your Family!”
There was no big surprises with the bill that arrived either – Everything was outlined and itemized so I knew exactly what each charge on there was for.
Thank goodness for that Extras pack that unlocked a whole new world of fun with my Walmart Family Mobile device. With a flat fee of 10$, it enabled my phone to download ringtones and make long distance phone calls without it costing me my firstborn child. It was really nice to be able to connect with my family in Canada using a telephone as opposed to our usual video chatting. No matter where I am now, I can pick up the phone and call the old fashioned way – without the need to get my iPad out for skyping.
With my current Verizon plan, they want to charge me an additional 3.99$ per month to have the ability to dial international numbers. Each minute I spend chatting, it’s an additional six cents per minute. With Walmart Family Mobile, I pay a flat 10$ fee for the extras pack and only five cents per minute of chat time. Overall, I think it’s a way better deal, especially since I did not notice a difference in the service!
Getting into this plan cost me 99$ for the telephone (or you can use your own, which would cost you 0$) this 25$ starter kit and 10$ for the extras pack that I purchased at Walmart. After a simple process to activate it, I was able to open an account using my drivers license on the Walmart Family Mobile portal page. They bill you, and you can begin using your new phone right away – I was so pleased with how simple it was! #FamilyMobileSaves, #cbias
Have you checked out the digital SoFab magazine? It’s the back to school edition, and inside there is a story of three different bloggers and their experience with the service that Walmart Family Mobile provides.
