Meals that are easy to prepare, quick to make and most of all tasty are my favorite go-to recipes for weeknights – especially at this time of year when we are getting used to a new back to school routine. The other night, after a full day’s work, picking JP up and heading home, I wondered what I would make from the All Natural, fresh ground chicken by Tyson I had purchased over the weekend from Walmart.
I just kept thinking ‘Chicken Tacos’ over and over – I think my brain was trying to tell me something! So, with that in mind, I went ahead and browned the Tyson fresh ground chicken on medium-high with a little bit of olive oil for about 8 to 10 minutes.
Next, it was time to add the taco seasoning! Normally, I like to experiment with spices and try a different concoction, but in the interest of saving time and my sanity, I decided to use a packaged taco spice seasoning, and mixed it up according to the directions on the back. I cooked the chicken a little longer in the spices, until it was fully absorbed and smelled amazing!
While that cooked on the stovetop, I popped in the taco shells at 350F to warm them up for about 5 minutes.
Next up, I shredded some lettuce, got the cheddar cheese out and some salsa, and we were ready to assemble! Taco assembling can really be fun and adds a level of family interaction at the table. I love meals that bring families together!
Dinner accomplished! We all ate heartily, and there were no leftovers! Fresh ground chicken by Tyson was the perfect ingredient to make a weeknight dinner easy on me and tasty for the whole family to enjoy.
