Do you sell stuff online? If your answer is yes, then keep reading! I have just recently stumbled across an amazing new shopping cart platform that I’m over the moon in love with – it’s called ShopLocket. Basically, it enables you to embed your item listing anywhere and share it out on all your social media outlets. All you need to do is paste in the code snippet where you would like it to appear, and TA-DA! Instant shop!
Your customers even have the luxury of using the social buttons to share your work!
It’s really been a good long while since I blogged about anything related to my etsy shop. In the beginning, when I started this blog – my focus was building my etsy shop first and my blog came second, yet somehow along the way it has flip-flopped and I spend more time here than I do fussing with my shop – which is something I couldn’t be more thrilled about. That being said, wouldn’t it be smart business-wise to put a few of these links where I receive the majority of my traffic?
There are many challenges that an individual can face when starting up an online “shop” of any sorts. In my case, I needed to invest in supplies and equipment before I even went live selling anything online and it cost a few $$ first before I made any $$ back. The point I’m trying to make is that folks like us are artisans, with limited resources and not a lot of money for startup costs. This is yet another reason why ShopLocket is awesome… It’s FREE to try! You only have to pay your fees when you actually sell something. No monthly fees and no upfront costs. ShopLocket also works with both Paypal and Stripe, making it a cinch to accept credit cards and receive your money when you finally make those sales. When you sell a product, you’re charged 2.5% plus any payment processing fees from PayPal or Stripe fees. So if you’re selling something that’s $20, you’d pocket $18.62
If that’s not enough, ShopLocket provides a super-easy to use interface for uploading your products. In as little as 2 minutes, I had the link above ready to embed in this post. There were alot of different templates to choose from as well as different widths, so it may fit in either your main content area or in your sidebar. There’s so many sharing possibilities with this, without actualy owning a shop or dedicated shop website!
Here’s another layout style – it’s great for sidebars!
Now – for the fun part! Another yummy giveaway – enter to win one of five 100$ gift cards to Micheals… My favorite store, ever!
